Here are a couple of pics of my 2015 4Runner Trail Premium the day I brought it home (almost a month ago). It’s loaded with pretty much every option I wanted and nothing I didn’t: KDSS (larger swaybars that disconnect electronically), rear locker and some other “off-road” tech that I’m not sure I’ll use. Creature comforts like Softex upholstery (faux leather, very easy to clean), Nav, Entune software package and XM radio. The nice thing about the Trail Editions is the traditional part-time 4WD with an actual transfer case lever, instead of the knob found in the SR5 and Limited models. All in all, a pretty capable and comfortable rig out of the box.
Since then, I’ve upgraded interior lighting to all LED, including license plate and puddle lights. Upgraded headlights to HID and Morimoto XB LED foglights and added Husky floor liners. 3″ Toytec Ultimate lift with Bilstein 5100’s, 285 BFG KO2’s and black TRD Pro wheels (these are waiting in my garage) to follow within the next month, then MetalTech sliders hopefully by the end of the year. Next year’s (early next year hopefully… lol) mods will include Southern Style Speed Minimalist bumper, winch and either a Gobi or ARB roof rack and better skids (stock ones are surprisingly thin). Following that, probably a Shrockworks rear bumper. I’m building this to be more of an exploring/overlanding rig so my wife and I can travel. Still debating on whether we want to add a roof top tent from CVT.
Other mods planned, but no idea when: Reinstall my CB pulled from my ’07 Jeep JK and some PIAA lights. That’s all I can think of at the moment, other than misc gear for our travels.
